Crime Prevention

Crime prevention is the anticipation, recognition and evaluation of a crime risk, and the initiation of action to remove or reduce it. UWSP officers work hard to create a safe environment for people to live, work and study in. However, in order to be effective, we need your help. Report any suspicious or criminal behavior as soon as possible to Protective Services or to the Stevens Point Police Department.

Alcohol Safety

UWSP Protective Services has numerous alcohol-related incidents. The drinking age is 21, and that means people younger than 21 should not be in possession of or under the influence of alcohol.

In addition, no one - even those people 21 or older - is permitted to have open containers of alcohol in public.

Got ICE?

Make sure to put your cell phone on ICE! By putting your emergency contact numbers under an ICE ("In Case of Emergency") entry in your cell phone's phone book, you are giving UWSP Protective Services and other emergency personnel a valuable tool.
