About Protective Services

The Protective Services Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our primary goal is the protection of the University, it's occupants, and the surrounding community. Protective Services University Police operate in a full law enforcement capacity.

The University Police Department has a close working relation with the City of Stevens Point Police Department.  Whenever possible, contact Protective Services of any university problems before the city police, in the event of a serious emergency dial: 911.

If you are stopped or approached by Protective Services Staff, do not run or hide. Be courteous and cooperative. All law enforcement personnel are there to serve and protect the public.
