MOTRIMS: an undergraduate research laboratory in AMO Physics

We are improving the Magneto Optical Trap Recoil Ion Momentum Spectroscopy technique to probe many AMO processes.  Because we can probe at the excited states in the Magneto Optical Trap, we plan to use this technique to probe at the coherent population dynamics of the trapped atoms those have interacted with  femtosecond laser pulses.
