There are two general categories of employment at UWSP:  Classified and Unclassified.

Classified staff (State of Wisconsin Civil Service) includes Office Support, Financial Specialist, Library Services Assistant, Custodial, Maintenance, Grounds, Building Trades & Crafts, Technical, Security, Medical Technology and Professional & Paraprofessional positions.  Limited Term Employees are also included in this category.

Unclassified staff consists of faculty and academic staff positions and require advanced degrees in specialized fields. There is no centralized employment office on campus for unclassified positions. Information on unclassified job opportunities may be obtained by contacting the department or office of the specific area in which you are qualified and interested.  A list of current vacancies may be found on the Equity and Affirmative Action web page.
