Effective December 1, 2007, all newly hired
classified and unclassified employees are subject to a criminal
background check as a condition of appointment. A criminal background
check is part of a general background check on potential employees that
should include reference checks.
It is not a substitute for reference checks. To provide a safe,
secure campus environment for students, employees and visitors, as well
as protect and maintain the security and integrity of the university�s
many valuable resources.
