Having grown up in Northern Michigan, Jim enjoys returning to the UP any chance he can to spend time in the northwoods. He is the coordinator of Disability Services at UWSP and teaches adventure education courses as well, such as snowshoeing, backpacking and Leave-No-Trace. His wilderness experiences include camping, hiking, backpacking, canoeing and snowshoeing, having been on many adventures in various parts of the United States and Canada. His most exciting treks included fly-in canoe trips to Wabakimi in Ontario, Canada. Jim has a personal commitment to the environment and he highly respects our wilderness areas.
