All members of the senior athletic training class presented their research projects at the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Meeting in April 2011 held in Appleton, Wis. The 11 students completed three research projects all involving the use of kinesiotape and investigated the effects on various conditions related to injury. The team of Nicole Stashek, Brad Bauman and Lauren Mulder was awarded the Undergraduate Research winner for best Original Research entitled “The Effects of Kinesiotape on Forward Shoulder Poster.” This is a great opportunity for the students to present their hard work to a large number of licensed athletic trainers. Students from UW-Oshkosh and UW-Madison also presented research projects.
