Welcome to the UW-Stevens Point Climbing Competition! We throw this competition every year so that new and experienced climbers alike can climb together with the chance to meet new people, win some cool prizes, and spend an afternoon climbing sweet routes. This year there will just be top-roping. We can’t wait to see you here at the wall!

We have been inspired by the other comps in the Wisconsin Indoor Climbing Series by their generosity to the community, so we are following suit with a food drive. We have a great campus program called The Cupboard which is a food pantry that is exclusively open to UWSP students to help them through tough financial times. Some things on their wish list include: canned fruits and veggies, peanut butter, canned beans, pasta, rice, soap, and shampoos. If you would like to contribute, we’ll be collecting the day of competition so please bring if you can!

Registration
 
  • Register online before April 3 and you will be guaranteed a T-shirt!
  • Registration online is still open after April 3, but the T-shirts will be first come, first serve.
  • Our max is 75 climbers so sign up right away!
  • Payment can be done the day of the competition in cash or check and checks can be made out to UWSP Climbing Wall.
  • $20 for students, $25 for non-students.
 
Waiver
 
Every climber needs to fill out a waiver the day of the comp if one isn’t already on file. If the climber isn’t 18, then a parent or guardian needs to be present to sign a waiver for them.
 
 
 
Schedule: April 14
 

10:30-11:30 a.m. Yoga

11 a.m.-noon Registration

Noon-12:30 p.m. Rules

12:30-4:30 p.m. Climbing time!

4:30-5 p.m. Yoga break/Set up for finals

5 p.m. Finals for top advanced female and male climbers

6 p.m. Awards, raffle, WICS final awards

 
 
Yoga
 
The UWSP Climbing Wall is honored to have Leiloni Nichols, a certified yoga instructor, on staff. She will be leading interested climbers in yoga sessions. She will start before registration and she will also lead a session after the awards are complete.
 
 
WICS
 
Since this is the last stop of the Wisconsin Indoor Climbing Series, we will be awarding the top placing teams and the top individual scorers. So if you’ve taken part in any of the earlier WICS competitions, be sure to make it to this one! Check out WICS at www.facebook.com/WisconsinICS.
