State of Wisconsin Enterprise Travel Program Update – January 31, 2006
The implementation of the Travel Agency Contracts with Adelman Travel and Orbitz for Business has been delayed indefinitely. It was previously announced that these contracts would be effective February 1, 2006.
Until further notice, you may use a travel agency or airfare provider of your choice. Marathon Travel and Keystone Travel continue to offer UWSP reduced rates for their service fees.
NOTE: Due to recent updates to the State of WI Ineligible Vendor Listings, the Purchasing Card MAY NOT be used when purchasing airfare, hotel or car rental from Orbitz.
Travel Program to date:
- Effective October 17, 2005, airfare, hotel and car rental must be purchased using either a Travel Card or a Purchasing Card.
- Direct billing of airfare, hotel and car rental is by exception only.
- Enterprise Rent-A-Car (rentals originating in Wisconsin) and National Car Rental(out-of-state and worldwide) are the state's contract vendors.
- STA Travel is the contract travel agency for student travel. Worldtek is the contract travel agency for athletic travel.
- The State of Wisconsin contract hotelsshould be used whenever possible and conveniently located.
