Parking for visits and View Point Days is arranged through the Admissions Office. Orientation parking is arranged through the New Student Office.
When visiting campus, please see the visitors' information page.
1. Parents and students - please note that parking at UWSP is limited. Unless the student needs a vehicle for an off-campus job, they should consider leaving it at home.
Space for parking on campus is limited and restricted, there is a charge
involved. The University assumes no responsibility for damage to a vehicle or
its contents while parked on campus.
Parking on the UWSP campus is by permit only except in metered areas with proper
payment.
The cost of a permit for an entire year is $94.35 (includes all
applicable tax). As a first year student, you will most likely be assigned a
three lot for Lots J, P, & Q.
Assignments are made strictly on a first come first serve basis.
2. If you decide to bring a vehicle to campus, be sure to read the parking regulations. Following the rules and reading the posted street signs will make for a positive experience.
3. Applications for student permits are accepted beginning May 12 for the following school year. No applications will be accepted prior to that date and will be returned if sent through the mail.
4. A permit reported as lost or
stolen that later shows up on a vehicle will receive a $100.00 citation.
5. City streets that are within the boundaries of the University are under the jurisdiction of the Stevens Point Police Department. Citations issued by that agency must be resolved with the city. University parking regulations (specifically loading zone rules) DO NOT apply on city streets.
6. Visitors must be registered with the Parking Services office.
If you have a friend or family member visiting, be sure to bring them to
Parking Services office for a permit (if space is available).
7. If you have a “special” parking need, contact Parking Services at 346-3900 for further information. If you have any questions, call Parking Services.
NOTE:
Fire zone and disabled citations are not appealable. Fire zone citations have a penalty of $25.00, and increase to $50.00 if not paid within 21 days. A disabled citation has a penalty of $50.00, which increases to $100.00 if not paid within twenty-one days. Unless you have the proper State Permit (or are driving a fire truck), stay out of fire zones or disabled spaces.
