Permits
Parking on the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point campus is by permit only, except in the metered areas. All vehicles with a current and properly displayed permit or hangtag are authorized to use UWSP parking lots.
University parking permits or hangtags will be issued to registered students, staff and other personnel who require frequent access to the campus (e.g., service and maintenance personnel and can be obtained from Parking Services.
Apply for a Permit
The student parking application process for the following academic year starts in early May. (Watch MOD for exact date.) Permit cost is $94.35. Student assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. When all lots are full, a waiting list is created and assignments made from this list as space becomes available.
Faculty/staff parking assignments at UWSP are based on continuous seniority-of-service at this campus.
Full Lot
If your assigned lot is full, you can park in another permit lot (faculty-staff in faculty-staff lots & students in student lots) with a license plate call-in to Parking Services notifying of the change to prevent a citation from being issued.
Motorcycles/Mopeds
Mopeds can park by the bike racks on campus without contacting Parking Services. Mopeds need to have a moped license plate. Moped parking in motorcycle stalls is not allowed.
Motorcycles with a motorcycle plate need to purchase a UWSP cycle parking permit and must park in designated motorcycle stalls. Motorcycle stalls are open Apr-Nov.All UWSP parking lots are enforced year round and regulations are in effect any time classes are in session; fall, winterim, spring and summer sessions. For permit information, view the Permits & Permit Holders section in the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).
