Central Wisconsin high school math league competition at UW-Stevens Point
The 38th annual Central Wisconsin Math League competition will be held at the newly refurbished Dreyfus University Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) on Tuesday, January 22, with students arriving at 10 a.m. and the competition beginning at 11 a.m.
Approximately 600 high school math students and their advisers from fifty Wisconsin schools, including Stevens Point, Wausau and other regional high schools, will help kick off the Dreyfus University Center�s grand opening. For the past 38 years the math league has also been supported by Sentry Insurance, Employers Insurance Company of Wausau, and AIG-Travel Guard.
Current and former UWSP math faculty are helping to oversee the year�s first competition. There are three competitions each year with an awards banquet in May.
