One of Central Wisconsin�s own has been named an outstanding U.S. Army cadet. Jason Reiman, 1095 Ranger Road, Wisconsin Rapids, was chosen national ROTC cadet of the month for March.

A senior majoring in natural resource management and biology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Reiman leads an active life. In addition to pursuing a double major, he has a double minor in military science and international resource management. In addition, he is Osprey project leader for the campus� Wildlife Society. The society develops and implements wildlife conservation projects throughout the United States.

As Cadet Command Sergeant Major of the ROTC Pointer Battalion, he also serves the 1^st Battalion, 120^th Field Artillery of the Wisconsin National Guard as fire support officer.

Reiman maintains a 3.77 grade point average. In his spare time, he plays intramural volleyball. On New Years 2000, he fulfilled a boyhood dream--successfully reaching the pinnacle of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Reiman is a graduate of Lincoln High School.
