Enjoy a day of outdoor adventures on Ground Hog Day at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (CWES), located on Sunset Lake in Amherst Junction.

The winter CWEStival will be held Saturday, February 2, from 2-5 p.m. Activities will include learning winter fire starting techniques, compass basics and a subsequent treasure hunt, exploring the station's woods on snowshoes, and meeting a great-horned owl in person. Complimentary hot chocolate and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

The cost is $2 per person or $10 per family. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Participants are asked to RSVP by January 31 by calling (715) 824-2428.
