Inaugural CNR student research symposium
An exhibit of student research projects by natural resources students will take place this week in the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
The inaugural event, "CNR Student Research Symposium 2000," will be held on Friday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the east lobby of the CNR building.
The symposium will include presentations of 23 research projects conducted by students under the guidance of faculty sponsors. There will be 18 poster displays and 11 oral presentations covering topics ranging from the density of fish stocks in the Wisconsin River to a study of prairie chickens, from stream habitat restoration for brook trout to demonstrating the energy potential of wind. Oral presentations will be held in Rooms 120 and 122 of the CNR building which are located adjacent to the east lobby.
