Bill Cosby to perform at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point

Bill CosbyWorld-renowned comedian and television star Bill Cosby will perform at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) on Friday, October 12. Cosbys two performances begin at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. in Quandt Fieldhouse.

A Centertainment Production, tickets for these performances will go on sale Monday, April 23, at 8 a.m. All seats are reserved seating with individual tickets costing $31, $33, $37 and $41. There is a $2 service charge for each ticket.

Tickets are available through the University Box Office, 200 Division Street. People may also order by phone at (800) 838-3378 or on the Web site at https://tickets.uwsp.edu.

Cosbys initial success began with stand-up comedy and a long string of successful comedy record albums beginning with "Bill Cosby Is A Very Funny Fellow, Right?" He has five Grammy Awards for best comedy album and also has released a number of jazz recordings. He also won three Emmy Awards in the 1960s for his breakthrough television role in "I Spy."

The Cosby Show ran on primetime television from 1984-92. He has written four books, "Fatherhood," "Time Flies," "Congratulations! Now What?" and "Cosbyology." In 1998 he was recognized with a Kennedy Center Honor and in 2002 received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. "Fat Albert," a cartoon created by Cosby in 1972, was developed into a live-action feature film in 2004.
