Wisconsin Learning Center offers classes in problem solving for businesses

"Cre8 & Innov8," creative problem solving models to be used in a business environment, will be demonstrated in two-hour sessions on Mondays during February and March at the Wisconsin Learning Center in the Portage County Business Park.

Pat Schoonover, director of Wisconsin Creative Problem Solving Programs, will lead the sessions from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 14, 21 and 28 and March 7 and 14. The cost is $40 per session or $150 for the series. The entire series also will be available online from Feb. 1 through March 11, at a cost of $150.

The sessions will include:

--Brainstorming with Variations: Feb. 14

--Making the Familiar Strange and the Strange Familiar: Feb. 21

--Making a List, Checking it Twice, Thrice and More: Feb. 28

--Getting Analytical About Creative Thinking: March 7

--Taking an Excursion With Creative Thinking Tools: March 14

Schoonover is a consultant who works with schools, businesses and other organizations. She also teaches graduate level education courses and works in the field with educators. She is Wisconsin�s affiliate director of Destination ImagiNation and regional director for First Lego League. She has been involved for many years in the area of gifted education and is the director of gifted programming and a lecturer at UW-Green Bay.

The Wisconsin Learning Center (WLC) is located in the Portage County Business Park adjacent to Interstate 39 on Highway HH.
