Violinist Steven Bjella will perform in a recital of works by Russian composer Serge Prokofiev at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6 at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

He will be assisted by violinist Emily Watson, a graduate student from Brookfield, and Professor Michael Keller, pianist. They will perform Serge Prokofiev�s Sonata for Two Violins, Solo Sonata for Violin, and Sonata in D Major for violin and piano."

Part of the Music Department Scholarship Series, admission is $6 for the general public, $3 for senior citizens, $2 for youth and free the day of the concert for students with UWSP IDs. Bjella has performed extensively throughout the country appearing both as soloist and in a variety of chamber ensembles. In addition to serving as coordinator of strings at UWSP, he is concertmaster of the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra.
