Youth with disabilities needed for workshop
The Special Needs Aquatic Program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking youth with disabilities, ages 5-18, to aid in a training program for aquatics instructors.
Volunteers are needed to help with the National Adapted Aquatics Instructor Certification Workshop on Saturday, February 25, and Sunday, February 26, from noon until 2 p.m. Youth available to participate one or both days are encouraged to contact Rory Suomi at (715) 346-2706.
Members of the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education and Dance Association from across the United States will study techniques for teaching youth with disabilities how to swim.
