Clarinetist performs in a recital at UW-Stevens Point

Clarinetist Jessica Braatz will perform in a recital at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Sunday, March 6.

The performance will be held in Michelsen Hall of the Noel Fine Arts Center beginning at 3 p.m. and will be open to the public free of charge.

The program will include "Sonatine" by Darius Milhaud, "Cinco Bocetos for clarinet" by Roberto Sierra, "Quintet in B minor, Op. 115" by Johannes Brahms, "Sonata for clarinet and piano" by Camille Saint Saens, and "Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra, Op. 5" by Bernhard Crusell.

Braatz will be assisted in her performance by Megan Rew on piano; Kristin Wockenfus of Shawano, on violin; Emily Lizer of Rockford, Ill., on violin; Heather June of Kenosha, on viola; and Michelle Vach of La Crosse, on cello.

Braatz, the daughter of Mark and Brenda Braatz, 18214 Icicle Road, Sparta, is a junior majoring in music performance and elementary education. She is a graduate of Vilseck American High School in Germany. During her time at UWSP, she has been involved in the UWSP Wind Ensemble and the UWSP Orchestra. She also teaches gymnastics at the YMCA.
