Bari Koral to perform at UW-Stevens Point

Coffee House vocalist Bari Koral and her band will perform on Saturday, March 6, at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The event at 8 p.m. in the University Center Encore will be free to students with a valid UWSP ID and $4 to the general public.

A New York native, Koral began her musical career as a child playing roles in off-Broadway musicals. She discovered rock �n� roll when she went to school at Syracuse University and since then has been writing, recording, and performing her unique style of pop rock. She has been very well received in coffee houses and other venues around the New York City area and beyond. Koral and her band made an appearance in a nationally broadcast cable New Year�s Eve Special. She has several albums, including "Joy" and "Cloudwalking" and is in the process of writing a book about the life of a singleton
singer/songwriter.

Koral, who has reached a surprising level of recognition for an independent self-promoted artist, has been compared to Ani DiFranco and Jewel.
