Performers will include Guinga of Brazil, Pierre Bensusan of France, Brian Gore of San Francisco and Andrew York of Los Angeles. They will perform solos, duets and quartets that display the diversity of the acoustic guitar.

Guinga is considered one of Brazils leading guitarists. His cheerful style fuses the melodic elements of Afro-Brazilian music, jazz and modern classical composition. An award-winning arranger and producer, his compositions are standards in the repertoire of many contemporary guitarists. He also has recorded many motion picture sound tracks. The International Guitar Night itinerary will mark Guingas touring debut in the U.S.

A self-taught guitarist, Bensusan was born in Algeria and grew up in Paris. He was influenced by the folk revival of the 1960s. At age 17, he signed a recording contract and recorded his first album "Prs de Paris," which won the prestigious Grand Prix du Disque at the Montreux Festival in Switzerland.

Gore, the originator of the International Guitar Night, has shared the stage with many of the worlds most brilliant performing guitar composers. His style on the steel string guitar integrates classical and percussive techniques and reflects his experience as a self-taught player bred in the diverse musical world of the San Francisco Bay area. He has recorded three CDs, "The Path of Least Resistance" available through Acoustic Music Resource, "The Open Road" for Solid Air Records and "Legacy" inspired by Nelson Mandela.

A member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, York recently toured 13 countries. His compositions have been published worldwide and performed by renowned musicians such as John Williams, Christopher Parkening and Scott Tennant. He recorded two solo albums, "Denouement" and "Perfect Sky," on GSP Recordings. He is included on "Guitar Sampler" by Windham Hill Records and "Legends of the Guitar: Classical" By Rhino Records.
