Sharpen your writing skills in a writing retreat offered through Arts and Culture Outreach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

"The Power of the Pen" will be offered the weekend of April 28-29, beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday and ending at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The workshop will be held at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station near Amherst Junction.

Instructor Deb Biechler will lead participants through a journey of individual discovery, studying a variety of writing genres while moving into personal writing throughout the weekend. The course fee is $142, which includes three meals, cabin lodging and materials.
