Monologues to be performed at UW-Stevens Point

Join the battle against womens violence at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

"The Vagina Monologues" will be performed at the Noel Fine Arts Center, Room 221, at 8 p.m. on March 1, 2 and 3. Female UWSP students volunteer to star in the event, sponsored by the Womens Resource Center (WRC).

Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 with a UWSP ID. Tickets are available at the University Box Office, 200 Division St., or by calling (715) 346-4100 or (800) 838-3378. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted.

First performed off-Broadway, "The Vagina Monologues," arranged by Eve Ensler, jumps into the humor, wisdom and pain masked in womens experiences. Her play contains sections of more than 200 interviews conducted by Ensler. "The Vagina Monologues" is a component of "V-Day 2007," an effort to make a connection between antiviolence workers and V-day activists in hopes of peace.
