Discover yourself as a writer or continue to sharpen your writing skills in a workshop offered through Arts and Culture Outreach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

"Releasing the Writer Within" will be offered on Saturday, February 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Instructor Deb Biechler will lead participants through a variety of techniques and prompts to develop themselves as writers. The course fee is $67 and includes lunch.

Biechler is a teacher in the Clintonville Public School District as well as an adjunct faculty member at UW-Green Bay and Fox Valley Technical College. She received the Hillshire-Kahn Teacher of the Year Award and is a member of Wolf River Reading Council.

Biechler also works as an independent writer and consultant, designing and conducting over twenty workshops and seminars in Wisconsin school districts. Biechler served as a co-facilitator of the Central Wisconsin Writing Project at UWSP from 1992 to 2000. She earned her bachelor�s degree at UWSP and master�s degree at Viterbo University.
