Conference for experienced business owners to be held in Wausau
The Business Owner Solution Conference co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will be held in Wausau.
The conference, structured for business owners with any size business, will be held on Thursday, March 16 from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. at the Westwood Conference Center, 1800 West Bridge St.
Orville Ray Wilson, co-author of the Guerrilla Marketing series, and John B. Tornius, CEO of Serigraph, are this years keynote speakers.
Wilson is a best selling author and business guru on sales, marketing and negation. His unconventional "take-no-prisoners" approach has earned him national acclaim. He has been featured as a speaker at the prestigious Inc. Magazine Small Business Forums, and he has appeared on CNN as a topical expert.
Tornius will share his strategies for a successful business as well at his ideas for small business health care. After starting his business in a family garage, he has now expanded it to 1,200 employees, building it into one of Wisconsins most thriving businesses. His company has restructured its benefit plans so employees are in control of their health care and its bottom line.
A few of the sessions offered will cover topics such as human resources issues, expansions, funding sources, operating a family business and more.
The cost for the conference is $225 or $199 before March 1. The fee includes a copy of the book, "Guerrilla Marketing." Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
