Learn to fly at UWSP
Take flight this summer with FAA certified flight instructor Gary Olsen and the Continuing Education department at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
"Learn to Fly: From the Ground Up - FAA Test Prep," a comprehensive ground school course, will help you develop the skills and gain the information necessary to pass any FAA entry-level knowledge exam, including sport, recreational or private pilot certificates.
The course topics will include airplane components, airport and radio operations as well as navigation and flight planning. The non-credit course fee is $325 and includes registration and materials. Three undergraduate credits will be available (REC 399) with an estimated tuition cost of $618.
"Learn to Fly," offered May 27 through June 11, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon. All sessions take place at the Stevens Point Municipal Airport.
