commemoration events at UW-Stevens Point
The
UWSP community will mark the one-year anniversary of Sept 11, 2001, on
Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002.
9:20 a.m. A moment of silence will be observed by students, faculty and staff
7 p.m. A panel discussion moderated by Chancellor Tom George, �What Has Happened in Our Nation Since the Terrorist Attacks,� will be held in the Laird Room in the University Center. Panelists will include:
Bryan Brophy-Baermann, assistant professor of political science
Larry Weiser, professor emeritus business and economics
Erik Yonke, professor of history
Doug Forbes, lecturer of sociology
8:30 p.m. A candlelight vigil will take place at the Sundial (Specht Memorial Forum), between the Fine Arts Center and the University Library.
