Described as a "glitzy, inventive, eclectic, fun and metropolitan evening," Arts Bash 2007 will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, Feb. 3.

The event will be held at the Noel Fine Arts Center from 7 to 10:30 p.m., featuring student performances, an art sale, fashion show, tours and demonstrations. The primary fundraiser for the departments of theatre and dance and art and design, Arts Bash has raised more than $75,000 for student scholarships and programs since its inception in 2003.

A sale of donated artworks by professional artists, faculty and alumni will begin at 7 p.m. A wearable sculpture fashion show will be held at 7:30 p.m., followed by student performances at 8:20 p.m. Entertainment by DJ Wayne "Edwards" Semmerling will begin at 9:30 p.m.

The first 50 patrons to arrive will receive an original randomly assigned student-created artwork. Hors d�oeuvres and desserts will be served and a cash bar will be available. Guests are encouraged to wear expressive attire.

All proceeds from the event support students through the two departments, the Arts Bash Scholarship Endowment Fund and the Great Artists and Speakers Endowment.
