Renew your artistic confidence with a UWSP painting workshop
The vast majority of adult Americans do not think of themselves as artists and many think of themselves as artistically challenged. Teens and adults can now renew their confidence and discover hidden talents at the "Painter’s Workshop," sponsored by Arts & Culture Outreach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
The five-week course, taught by Tina Lepak, will offer a variety of painting media including acrylics, watercolor, pastels and more. The workshop meets on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning March 25 and continuing through April 22. The class fee is $89 and includes materials.
Lepak, an instructor for UWSP Continuing Education since 2003 and a former high school teacher with a bachelor’s degree in art education, will lead discussions about composition, color theory and art movements as well as instructional techniques for portrait, landscape, flora/fauna, still life and found-object painting.
Whether you loved art as a child or were one of the many scarred by their elementary experiences, you will decompress, develop new skills and delight your senses with color and creativity during this workshop.
