Basket weaving workshop offered at UWSP
A basket weaving workshop will be offered for teens and adults at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point (UWSP) in March, sponsored by Arts and Culture Outreach through UWSP Continuing Education.
"Basket Weaving" will be held Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is intended for both beginner and intermediate participants. The workshop will teach the art of basket weaving and how to create a spring-themed, hand-crafted basket. Supplies and lunch are included.
Wendy Peterson, a UWSP alumna who is currently working on her master’s degree at UWSP, is the instructor. She began basket weaving in 2000 and is a member of the Wolf River Basketry Guild.
Registration fee is $49. Space is limited for this class, so early registration is recommended.
