Sponsored by Centertainment Productions, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will host local bands "Runside Down" and "Elf Lettuce" on Saturday, February 11.

The performance will be held at 8 p.m. in the Encore of the Dreyfus University Center (DUC). The cost is $4 for the general public and free to students with a UWSP ID.

Madison-based band "Runside Down" was created in 2005, performing weekly gigs at the Portal Music Caf�. With Vince Faris on keyboards, Jon Reed playing drums, Mike Scieszinksi on guitar, and Dan Plourde on bass, this band is currently touring the Midwest and working on a full length album due to release in 2006.

Hailing from Stevens Point, is "Elf Lettuce," a four-piece band with an eclectic sound, mixing styles from multiple genres. Striving to perform high-energy concerts, the group combines free-flowing melodies with original songs and improvisation to excite all audiences. Members include Jacob Lison on guitar, Alex White on bass, Mark Breunig on keyboard and Richard Hankison on drums.
