Mason Jennings, a singer/songwriter bringing music back to its basics through simple melodies and inspiring lyrics, will perform at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The performance will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 3 in the Encore at the Dreyfus University Center. Sponsored by Centertainment Productions, admission is $8 for the general public, $4 for students in advance or free on the day of the show with a UWSP student ID. Born in Hawaii and raised in Pittsburgh, Jennings� music has reached all ends of the country. Blending smooth guitar progressions and introspective lyrics ranging from politics to bonsai trees, Jennings has won over fans including the ears of fellow musicians Ben Kweller and Jack Johnson.

In 1998 he released his debut album and has since sold over 30,000 without the help of a major record label. He has recently released another album titled "Use Your Voice."
