Patchouli to perform at UWSP
What: The acoustic duo Patchouli will perform at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this week, sponsored by Centertainment Productions.
When: Thursday, Jan. 25, 8 p.m.
Where: The Faux Core, located in the former STV studio room, Communication Arts Center
Who: Patchouli features what the group calls "Fast Forward Folk," which is rooted in current, world and Latin rhythms. Their music ranges from jazz influenced songs on guitar and string bass to folk songs with guitar and African drums.
The duo has toured around the country over the past 10 years, performing in every state but New Mexico and Maine. This winter they are touring to support their newest CD release, "The Light Behind You." For more information, see www.patchouli.net.
