Tony Award-winning actress to visit UWSP
What: Michele Pawk, a Tony Award-winning actress for her work in "Hollywood Arms" on Broadway in 2003, will visit the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to meet and work with students on Wednesday, Jan. 24, and Friday, Jan. 26, and give a free public presentation on Saturday, Jan. 27.
When:
Wednesday, Jan. 24
3-4 p.m. Pawk will meet with dance students to talk about career options, Room 130, Noel Fine Arts CenterFriday, Jan. 26
1:30-4 p.m. Pawk will lead a master class, Room 221, Noel Fine Arts Center-open to all students

Who: Pawk recently starred as Sheila in "Losing Louie" in the Biltmore Theater on Broadway. She originated roles in Broadway performances of "Seussical" in 2000 and "Crazy For You" in 1992. In addition to many other Broadway roles, Pawk has performed off-Broadway and in Washington D.C. and Chicago. She has also been nominated for several Drama Desk awards.
Pawk has appeared on television in several guest roles, including those on "L.A. Law," "Quantum Leap," "The Golden Girls," and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
She and Sheftz have been friends since attending Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, where Sheftz was her accompanist.
