Seniors to be commissioned officers at ROTC
ceremony
Six students from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP)
ROTC program will be commissioned as officers on Saturday, May 16,
at 4:30 p.m. in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room.
Superior native Ryan LeBard, a junior majoring in history, will be
the master of ceremonies. Bob Tomlinson, vice chancellor of Student
Affairs, will be the guest speaker.
The six cadets to be commissioned as second lieutenants in the Army
National Guard and/or the U.S. Army including graduating seniors:
Christopher Pederson, Cumberland, a forest administration major with
minors in military science and business administration. He is to be
assigned to the 950th Clearance Company of the 724th Engineer
Battalion, Wisconsin Army National Guard. A 2003 graduate of
Cumberland Senior High School, he is the son of Sherry and James
Pederson.
Nicholas Plocar, Howards Grove, is a political science major with
minors in Spanish and military science. He is to be assigned to the
U.S. Army Infantry. A 2005 graduate of Howards Grove High School, he
is the son of Linda and Scott Plocar of Sheboygan.
Andrew Parker, Onalaska, is a political science major with a minor
in military science. He will be commissioned into the military
intelligence branch of the 82nd Airborne Division. He is a 2005
graduate of Onalaska High School.
Jeremy Crochiere, Wausau, is a history major with a minor in
military science. He is to be assigned to the 428th U.S. Army
Engineering Company. The son of Cindy and Jerry Crocheire, he is a
2002 graduate of Wausau West High School.
Andrew Adey, Edina, Minn., is a wildlife ecology management major
with a minor in military science. He is to be commissioned into the
Infantry and assigned to the Wisconsin National Guard. He is the son
of Mary Sue and Lee Adey.
Jeffrey Schrimp, Woodbury, Minn., is an international studies and
Spanish major with a minor in military science. He will be
commissioned into the military intelligence branch of the 4th
Brigade 1st Calvary Division. He is the son of Nancy Schrimp.
