Earth Week events at UW-Stevens Point

Students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point are again taking the lead on Earth Week events held on campus. The activities begin on Monday, April 20, and end Saturday, April 25. This year’s theme is “Grassroots 2 Global Change.”
All activities listed below are free and open to the public.
    Monday, April 20 Theme: Food and Consumption
  •  Lunch - Organic Pointer lunch plate special
      Wooden Spoon, Dreyfus University Center
  •  1 - 3 p.m. Campus Garden Tours and Composting talk
      Sponsor - Sustainability Agriculture in Communities Society
  •  1 - 4 p.m. Invasive species removal at Schmeeckle Reserve
      Sponsor - Society for Ecological Restoration
  •  7 p.m. King Korn (movie) – Theater, Dreyfus University Center

  • Tuesday, April 21 Theme: Transportation
  •   11 a.m. Bike repair workshop and scavenger hunt – Allen Center (outdoors)

  •  3 p.m. Group campus/community bicycle ride
      Starting at the Dreyfus University Center Ticket and Information desk
  •  5 p.m. Bike scavenger hunt – outside Allen Residential Center
