Matuszak and Peterson will perform in
a senior recital at UWSP
Two senior music students majoring in instrumental music education will perform in
a recital at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Sunday, April 26.
Seth Matuszak, cello, and Craig Peterson, bass, will perform in Room 221 of the Noel Fine
Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. The recital is open to the public free of charge.
The program will feature “Prelude in G Minor” by Peterson and a variety of music selected
by the students, including “Suite No. 3 for Solo Cello” by Ernest Bloch, “Sonata No. 1
in A Major” by Adolf Misek, “Sonata No. 1 in E Minor” by Johannes Brahms and “Duet for
Cello and Bass” by Gioacchino Rossini.
Matuszak is the son of Denis and Julie Matuszak of Menasha. He has participated in the
Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra and the UWSP Symphony Orchestra.
Peterson is the son of Dennis and Shelley Peterson of Sturgeon Bay. He has participated
in the UWSP Symphony Orchestra, UWSP Wind Ensemble, UWSP Lab Jazz Ensemble and Central
Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra.
