UWSP 90FM plays Bob Dylan classics this
weekend
Bob Dylan fans are in for a treat as the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point's (UWSP) student-run radio station (WWSP
90FM) has scheduled a second Dylan Days after last year's successful
inaugural event.
According to 90FM's promotions director, Ryan Kroenke, the
now-annual event will be a solid weekend of nothing but Bob Dylan
classics spanning five decades. WWSP will broadcast 56 consecutive
hours of Dylan beginning Friday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m., through
Monday, Sept. 27, at 2 a.m.
Bob Dylan's entire discography will be sampled by 90FM disc jockeys,
according to Kroenke, from such classics as "Highway 61 Revisited,"
to Dylan's latest album, "Together Through Life."
This year, 90FM will begin the weekend with a showing of the Bob
Dylan documentary, "No Direction Home," on Friday, Sept. 25, at 7
p.m. in UWSP's Dreyfus University Center Theatre. Doors will open at
6:30 p.m. and admission is $3.
