UWSP’s 90FM hosts Radiothon
WWSP 90FM will host its annual Radiothon at the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point the weekend of December 6 and 7, starting
at 9 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. each day.
Radiothon, an on-air auction of goods and services donated by area
businesses to 90FM, is an annual fundraiser that allows 90FM to
maintain its diverse programming and annual events, according to
Scott Clark, station promotions director. There are over 200 items
from 75 regional companies as well as 74 individual packages to bid
on during the weekend.
There will be four packages up for bid every hour with new packages
auctioned in 15- minute increments. The disc jockey will update
listeners on the current bids between every song.
Some of this year’s donated items include gift certificates,
CD packages, an iPod Touch, a pre-paid satellite system and
the Trivia 39 banner.
Trivia coordinator Jim Oliva, “the Oz,” will announce the Trivia
40 theme at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, during the Radiothon.
To make a bid or for more information, call 715-346-3755.
