UWSP Jazz Combo to perform
The UWSP Jazz Combo at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
(UWSP) will perform in a concert on Monday, November 3.
The recital at 7:30 p.m., will be held in Michelsen Hall at the
Noel Fine Arts Center and is open to the public free of charge.
Directed by faculty members David Story and Ryan Korb, the performance
will include “St. Thomas” by Sonny Rollins, “Now’s the Time” by
Charlie Parker, “Chain Reaction” by Joe Sample and Count Basie’s
“Pound Cake.” Other pieces include “Autumn Leaves” by Kosma/Mercer,
“Four on Six” by Wes Montgomery, Frank Foster’s “Simone,” F.S.R.
(For Sonny Rollins) by Ray Brown, Herbie Hancock’s “Dolphin Dance,”
and “Stolen Moments” by Oliver Nelson.
