Music students to perform clarinet recital
Clarinet students of Andrea Splittberger-Rosen, professor of music
at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, will present a studio
recital on Sunday, December 7.
The recital will be held at 5 p.m. in Michelsen Hall at the Noel
Fine Arts Center and is open to the public free of charge.
The program will include “Dance Preludes for Clarinet and Piano”
by Witold Lutoslawski, “Six Studies on English Folk Songs” by
Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Rhapsody for Clarinet” by Willson Osborne,
“Shtetl Tanzen” by Michael Kibbe, “Adieu” by Harry Bulow, “Sonata
for Clarinet and Piano” by Francis Poulenc, and “Time Pieces for
Clarinet and Piano” by Robert Muczynski.
