Course Information

NRES 600: Wisconsin Environmental Studies is a three graduate credit web-based course offered through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  The historical, natural, social, and economic factors that influence the quality of Wisconsin�s environment will be explored.  Major theme areas include: Conservation History, Ecological Foundations, Biodiversity, Water, Land, Energy, Air, Environmental Health, and Environmental Quality and the Future.  

This course is open to everyone, except: 

on-campus students by permission of instructor only. 

Course Mission:

To increase awareness and develop participant interests and literacy in Wisconsin environmental content, issues, and ideas.

Meeting Times: Semi-synchronous over a 10-week period

Start/End Dates for Fall Semester 2006:

Monday, October 2 - Monday, December 11.

The course is 10 weeks in duration, including 3 Assignments and continuous Discussion.  Students have until Monday December 11 to satisfactorily complete all assignments. It is strongly recommended that students progress according to the recommended dates.
