M.S. Project Information

I.    M.S. Project Criteria

        1.  The scope of the project must to beyond your individual classroom.

        2.  The project should be aimed at improving EE in the school, district, or community.

        3.  The project should demonstrate leadership skills.

        4.  The project must go beyond the development of a plan to the actual implementation phase.

III.    M.S. Project Proposal

        1.  A written Master's project proposal is required.  The proposal is written in conjunction with NRES 750 (I).

        2.  Your advisor must approve the written proposal before you begin work on your project.  

             Your advisor's signature is required on the standard Program Planning Form.

        3.  The written proposal must include the following components:

            a)     Introduction

                    Statement of the problem and subproblems

                    Rationale (importance of the project)

                    Background (review of related literature

                    Goals and Objectives

                    Definitions of Terms and Assumptions

          b)     Methodology

A plan for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the project, complete with a timeline for accomplishment of each of the tasks.

        4.  Grammar and writing style must be appropriate for graduate work.

IV.    M.S. Project Report

        The M.S. Project Report will include the following items:

        1.  Cover Page

        2.  One page abstract

        3.  Table of contents

        4.  List of tables and figures (if used)

        5.  List of appendices

        6.  Introduction (described in 3a above.)

        7.  Methodology (described in 3b above)

        8.  Results

        9.  Conclusions and recommendations

        10.  References

        11.  Appendices
