The Environmental Education & Training Partnership (EETAP) has scholarships available to EE leaders interested in taking Applied EE Program Evaluation, Fundamentals of EE, or Making EE Relevant for Culturally Diverse Audiences. Please note that the qualifications for scholarships are different for each course. Scholarship recipients must pay the course cost difference to UWSP.

Applied EE Program Evaluation Scholarship   -   Amount: $200

Qualifications: Must hold a leadership position in EE at the community or state level (e.g., directors of EE organizations, programs, or nature centers; state program coordinators for PLT, WET, or WILD; state EE association board members).

Scholarship Deadline: January 1, 2010 (spring semester)


Fundamentals of EE Scholarship   -   Amount: $200

Qualifications: Must hold a leadership position in EE at the state level (e.g., state program coordinators for PLT, WET, or WILD; state EE association board members).

Scholarship Deadline: January 1, 2010 (spring semester)

 

Making EE Relevant for Culturally Diverse Audiences   -   Amount: $100

Qualifications: Must be responsible for an EE program in their community, state, or at a national level.

National Wildlife Refuge System Staff Scholarship   -   Amount: Full (Depending on course)

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has 15 scholarships available for National Wildlife Refuge employees whose positions include environmental education (EE) duties.  The UWSP-EETAP Summer 2009 on-line courses include the Fundamentals of EE, and Making EE Relevant to Culturally Diverse Audiences.

Qualifications: Must be a USFWS National Wildlife Refuge employee, or a volunteer that has provided significant, long-term support to a Refuge environmental education program.  Examples of positions include Environmental Education Specialist, Park/Refuge Ranger, Supervisory Park/Refuge Ranger, or Visitor Services Specialist.
