Certification

The Environmental Education and Training Partnership (EETAP) developed rubrics identifying how and to what extent its two online environmental education (EE) courses (Fundamentals of EE and Applied EE Program Evaluation) contribute to professional development related to the competencies that must be demonstrated by candidates of certification programs recognized by the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE).

These rubrics provide specific information regarding where in each course the competencies are addressed and how course participants can demonstrate the competencies. These courses will help those of you seeking certification as an environmental educator improve the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate your EE proficiency in order to become certified in your state/province/region. Additionally, if you successfully complete the course, you will come away with a set of assignments that can be presented to a state certification review board.
