    Dr. Medina serves as Project Manager for the Environmental Education and Training Partnership (EETAP), a consortium of organizations that are increasing the capacity of education professionals to deliver quality environmental education programs. EETAP is based at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. U.S. EPA’s Environmental Education Division and participating partners fund EETAP.

    Dr. Medina also served as the EETAP Project Manager when it was based at the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) in Washington, DC. Prior to that, he was a Senior Program Officer with World Wildlife Fund. In that capacity he worked with local governments, non-governmental organizations, scientists, and educators to design and implement conservation and environmental education projects in Latin America and Caribbean.

    Dr. Medina serves as the lead for EETAP’s diversity activity, which produced What’s Fair Got To Do With It: Diversity Cases from Environmental Educators and a six-hour workshop that examines the intersection of environmental education and diversity.

    Dr. Medina is a past president and board member of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE). He is currently Co-chair of NAAEE's Diversity Committee. He is on the editorial board of the Applied Environmental Education & Communication: An International Journal and served as a consulting editor for the Journal of Environmental Education.

    Dr. Medina holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources Management with a specialization in environmental education.
