
The Twentieth Century is by far the most
eclectic period in all of western music history. It has been a century of great
invention and experimentation. There is nothing new in that: musicians have
always been prone to experimenting. But in the twentieth century, so many parts
of the world were opened to so many other parts! It is the mixing of influences
from around the world that has led to this century of amazing musical
diversity.
