Please note:  Permission is not required register for any of the choirs.  However, an audition is required for Concert Choir and both sections of Choral Union.  Those auditions will be held during the first week of classes each semester.  If you registered for the course but do not pass the audition, you will be asked to drop the course.

No formal audition is required for the Women's Choir (Music 341, section 4)

The Concert Choir is a select, SATB choir open to any university student through audition.  These auditions are typically held during the first week of classes in the fall semester.  Every effort is made to keep the same personnel in this choir for the entire academic year.  In the case of openings created by graduations, etc. in December, audition dates will be announced.  This group of 32-40 singers performs a wide variety of repertoire from all stylistic periods. Rehearsals: Daily, 11:00-11:50 AM.

Registration: Music 341, Section 1, 1 or 2 credits.

The Choral Union is the largest choral group at the university and is open to any university student, and a minimal audition is required during the first week of classes. Permission to register is NOT required unless a section is closed due to reaching the enrollment limit.  This typically happens with the women's section (Section 2).  Should you try to register and find the section closed, please e-mail me and I will be happy to put your name on a waiting list.  Although some repertoire is chosen for women's chorus and men's chorus, the majority of the music is for SATB choir.
Rehearsals: Women - Wednesday, 1:00-1:50 PM.      Men - Tuesday  1:00-1:50 PM.      SATB - Monday and Thursday, 1:00-1:50 PM.

Registration: Men's section - Music 341, Section 3, 1 or 2 credits, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 1:00 PM.

Women's section -Music 341, Section 2, 1 or 2 credits,  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 1:00 PM.

WOMEN'S CHOIR Dr. Judy Bond, Conductor (NFAC 318, 346-2227 jbond@uwsp.edu)

The Women's Choir performs a wide variety of repertoire for women's voices. It is open to any female university student.  No formal audition is required .  Rehearsals: Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00-5:30PM.

Registration: Music 341, Section 4, 1 or 2 credits.
