PianoFest 2012

Noel Fine Arts Center
Please join us for a day of piano music, master classes and workshops. All events will take place on the campus of UW-Stevens Point in the Noel Fine Arts Center. Events will include:
- Master classes with UWSP Piano Faculty, Raffi Besalyan and Molly Roseman. We recommend participating students bring a piece that is close to performance level. Repertoire should be equivalent to Class A solo difficulty.
- Two sessions for students & teachers: “If You Can Talk, You Can Write Music” with Dr. Charles Young, UWSP Professor of Theory & Composition. No composition experience is required for this session. All styles of music are encouraged. Professor Mathew Buchman, Director of Jazz Studies at UWSP will also present a session on playing jazz piano.
- Piano Recital given by UW-Stevens Point Piano faculty and students.
Who can participate?
High school pianists grades 9-12. Master class participants will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
